The Yela Ka forest is a non-profit organization supported by private donations and small grants through RFP announcements. To guarantee the easement which preserves the land, the land owners receive compensation from an endowment. But for day-to-day operations, there is a need for additional funding. The sorts of project that we’d like to do are …

  • Improve the dock and visitor center
  • Provide safe and reliable transportation for our tourists
  • Hire guides so that we can accommodate more visitors
  • Sponsor school field trips and other activities for students
  • Conduct community awareness and public education
  • Promote sustainable ecotourism activities
  • Prevent poachers and deforestation
  • Eradicate invasive species
